Crooked Forest of Gryfino, Poland, 28th September 2015

Crooked Forest of Gryfino is a very peculiar little place in Poland. Of course it has nothing to do with volcanoes, but I would like to recommend this unusual forest for any adventurous explorer. It has about 100-200 pine trees that grow with a 90 degree bend at the base of their trunks, before rising vertically again. The trunks are curved and all bent towards the same direction – northward. Why? It's still a mystery. Some theories are explained at Atlas Obscura. http://www.atlasobscura.com/places/gryfino-forest Thinking about my next volcanic trip. I want to visit new volcanoes so badly!
