Here are selected photos of Kameni Chora village and lava dome. The eruption occured near Kameni Chora village (around 238 BC) and formed small lava dome called Kameni Vuono. It also produced beautiful blocky lava flow. This ancient Methana eruption was described by Greek and Roman historians - including Strabo and Pausanias.
