I dedicate this blog to volcanoes and lovely volcanic landscapes. I am not a geologist/volcanologist, just a person who enjoys beautifully rough and majestic volcanic scenery. The feeling of being in such an unpredictable and often dangerous area is certainly distinct and unforgettable. All photos by Bart.K

Faraglioni di Lipari, Italy, 6.05.2015
Faraglioni di Lipari are two volcanic spines (called Pietra Lunga and Pietra Menalda) located between Lipari and Vulcano islands (Aeolian archipelago). It was great pleasure to see such isolated rocky islets - remains of ancient volcanism.
