I dedicate this blog to volcanoes and lovely volcanic landscapes. I am not a geologist/volcanologist, just a person who enjoys beautifully rough and majestic volcanic scenery. Campi Flegrei supervolcano, Pozzuoli, Italy, 26.04.2013
Lying mostly underwater caldera of Campi Flegrei consists of 24 craters and volcanic edifices. Pozzuoli town is famous from its hydrothermal activity. Last eruption formed Monte Nuovo cone in 1538. Last phreatic eruption inside Solfatara crater in 1198.
