I dedicate this blog to volcanoes and lovely volcanic landscapes. I am not a geologist/volcanologist, just a person who enjoys beautifully rough and majestic volcanic scenery. The feeling of being in such an unpredictable and often dangerous area is certainly distinct and unforgettable. All photos by Bart.K

Descent into lava tube Raufarholshellir, Iceland
It's the third largest lava tube on Iceland. Impressive ice stalactites and stalagmites. Unfortunately we only scratched the surface of this underground world.
