I dedicate this blog to volcanoes and lovely volcanic landscapes. I am not a geologist/volcanologist, just a person who enjoys beautifully rough and majestic volcanic scenery. The feeling of being in such an unpredictable and often dangerous area is certainly distinct and unforgettable. All photos by Bart.K

Pico del Teide volcano, Tenerife, 6th December 2011
Pico del Teide volcano, most recent eruption occurred in 1909 from the El Chinyero vent. Plus splendid view of Las Cañadas (Ucanca) caldera.
