I dedicate this blog to volcanoes and lovely volcanic landscapes. I am not a geologist/volcanologist, just a person who enjoys beautifully rough and majestic volcanic scenery. The feeling of being in such an unpredictable and often dangerous area is certainly distinct and unforgettable. All photos by Bart.K

Litli Geysir, Strokkur and Geysir, Iceland
One of the most famous tourist destination in Iceland. A fountain geyser Strokkur erupts reliably about every 4-8 minutes, Litli Geyser is constantly active and finally the biggest geyser Geysir erupts rarely. Haukadalur geothermal area features also mud pools, fumaroles, algal deposits and other geysers. We reached the place in the late afternoon hours, where almost no tourists were around. Cool.
