I dedicate this blog to volcanoes and lovely volcanic landscapes. I am not a geologist/volcanologist, just a person who enjoys beautifully rough and majestic volcanic scenery. The feeling of being in such an unpredictable and often dangerous area is certainly distinct and unforgettable. All photos by Bart.K

Lava flows in Garachico, Tenerife, 5th December 2011
Volcanic eruption in 1706 (from Montaña Negra cone) and lava flow destroyed a large part of the town Garachico and created wonderful rock pools.
